College Senate Curriculum Committee to Halt IF Course Proposal Submissions
From the Chair of the Senate Curriculum Committee
Because of the revision of the Intellectual Foundations program, the College Senate Curriculum Committee will no longer accept new or revised course proposals for IF designation, effective immediately, until further notice. Course proposals submitted prior to this announcement will still be considered for IF designation; however, departments may opt to withdraw the proposal for IF designation by contacting the College Senate Curriculum Committee chair, Karen Sands-O’Connor, at firstname.lastname@example.org. All current IF courses will remain as designated for now, but once the new IF program has been completely passed by the College Senate, the Senate Intellectual Foundations Oversight Committee will publish new procedures and guidelines for the submission of IF courses to the College Senate Curriculum Committee. Course proposal designation procedures for the new IF program will be published as soon as they are available.
