Opportunity for Students: AmeriCorps Community Service Peer Leader
The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center (VSLC) is once again looking for students for the AmeriCorps Community Service Peer Leader Program. This program allows students to serve at a local nonprofit organization while gaining quality skills for the world after graduation. In return for the commitment and competition of 300 hours of service during the 2013–2014 academic year, students are awarded a $1,175 Education Award from AmeriCorps. Applications are due Friday, April 26, to the VSLC, Cleveland Hall 306, and can be found on our website or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
