Opportunity to Teach in an Active Learning Classroom
Do you already use team-based learning or other active learning pedagogies? Are you willing to modify a course to incorporate active learning with technology? Would your students benefit from meeting in an active learning space? Beginning in fall 2013, E. H. Butler Library 316 will be an active learning classroom accommodating 36 students, arranged in six stations of six students each. (See photos.) The room comes equipped with 36 laptops.
If you are interested in teaching in this active learning classroom, contact Cara Angie, ext. 3841, with your course name and number, the semester you wish to use the room (fall 2013 or spring 2014), and a two- or three-sentence description of how you would use the room’s unique features in your teaching.
