Tell Students: Today - Alcohol Awareness Week Fair and Speaker

Buffalo State’s Bengals Against Drunk Driving (BADD) presents National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
October 21–25. Please encourage students to attend the following events regarding alcohol awareness and education. Please contact Paula A. Madrigal, coordinator of health education programs, ext. 4719, with questions.

Daytime Event:

Alcohol Awareness Fair/Drunk Driving Simulator
Thursday, October 24
10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Student Union Quad
A safe way to experience just how dangerous impaired or distracted driving is. Try out “drunk goggles” with UPD. Hot drinks will be served. Information sheets and pamphlets available.

Evening Event:

Speaker: Elizabeth Obad, President of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Erie County Chapter
Thursday, October 24
7:00 p.m.
Bulger Communication Center South
Learn what happens when someone consumes alcohol and gets behind the wheel of a car. Snacks and refreshments available. First come, first served.

Events sponsored by Weigel Health Promotions, United Students Government (through the mandatory student activity fee), AEPhi, and UPD.
